The Improver Course for Beekeepers is a one day course. 9.00.-5.00.p.m
Although the course does NOT include work with live bees it is still very ‘hands on’.
It will combine theory with practise and will cover the following topics:
Swarming ; Queen rearing; Apidea;
Nosema identification and management including microscopy *
Integrated approaches to varroa recognition and management
New comb ; Record keeping
*Participants will be asked to bring a sample of dead bees for analysis.
Prior to the course, delegates will be invited to complete a ‘knowledge assessment’ so their individual needs can be addressed.
Places are limited. To avoid disappointment early booking is advisable!
